I am so very excited to be able to bring you the story of Maliyah and Kendra Herrin. They were born February 26, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah, as conjoined twins. They were joined at the pelvis and abdomen and shared many major organs. In a 2006 landmark surgery spanning two days, the girls were separated.
They have made several appearances on the Oprah show as well as been featured in Readers Digest Magazine. The girls’ lives have been an emotional whirlwind! Now Erin Herrin has written the story of their lives in the soon to be released book, When Hearts Conjoin.

I lived in Utah at that time and saw all the news clips of it. I would sure love to read it.
I learned that Maliyah had a scare with a possible kidney rejection, but that they were able to get it under control and she’s doing much better! I hadn’t read an update lately, so I’m happy to hear that!!!

I learned that they are taping Special for TLC soon and that it should hopefully be airing in June. I will be watching for the speical.
