Busy Weekend ~ I'm Tired!

I know it’s only Sunday, but hubby is off Friday & Saturday.  So my “weekends” fall under those two days.  Also, this week, he was off Thursday, too.  So since Thursday, I have been going going.  I’m pooped.

Friday, we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.  We have passes and it’s really awesome since we are only 15 minutes away.  So we can just go whenever the mood strikes us.  The weather was perfect.  It was cloudy and cool.  Perfect for the miles of walking we did.  I got some really great pictures.  So here I am going to share them.  I think I see a header change soon because there are a few pictures that I really like.  We’ll see.

wap13Here’s the boys as we were just getting into the park.  One of my faves!

Here are more pictures….

wap11Ok, the deer in the petting zoo were hysterical!  Look at this beggar.  Mr. A. was trying to get food out of the dispenser and his mug was right in the middle of it.  It was so fun.  The petting zoo is always such a hit.

wap10This is the WAP’s new baby Rhino.  Isn’t she adorable??  I think her name was “Amara.”  We saw her in the children’s petting zoo.  We couldn’t actually pet her (could not see why not), but there was a child size looking area that we could see her.  The feeder was giving her bottles.  She told us she would drink 6 of them at a time.  Talk about cleaning bottles.  I thought the twins went through a lot at one time!

wap9My boys.

wap8I LOVE this picture.  Dennis is our animal lover.  And the Lorikeet Landing is always our favorite place to visit while at the Park.  I love Dennis’ smile.  This is pure happiness for him.  They have Park Photog’s in this exhibit taking pictures and they got a couple of fantastic ones.  I’m not one to usually buy that crap, but these pics were so good I got them.  I think I’ll save them for Wordless Wednesday or something. :)

wap7Eddie loves the Lorikeet’s, too!  But he freaks out when they actually land on him, so he was really happy just feeding them off the fence.

wap6The Lorikeet’s loved my husband.  They left presents on him.  LOL!  Yeah, you are right.  That’s bird shit.  Nice.

wap5The butterfly exhibit.  I love this picture.  So colorful.  See the butterfly?  They were everywhere.  It was really cool.

wap4Self portrait!  Me and my momma.

wap3This is Dennis at the African Lion exhibit.  Those are sleeping lion’s paws propped up on the glass.  LOL.  They are as big as his head!  It was cool, there were about 3-4 lions here just snoozing away.  Completely comfortable and oblivious to all the tasty snacks separated by only 2 inch plexiglass.

wap2Mr. A. sitting on his (fake) ostrich eggs.  We told him they were real and if he sat there long enough they would hatch.

wap1Me and Mr. A.

So that was our day at the WAP.  Then yesterday (Saturday) me and my mom went shopping with just Eddie.  I’ll come back and talk about that later.  Busy weekend.  Hope nobody missed me too much. :)
