Small Talk Six ~ Life’s a Beach
Happy Saturday people! It’s Memorial Day Weekend. Please be sure to take some time and thank a Veteran or other active Service Member. They risk their lives so we can be free and their job is SO important!! Please don’t forget what this weekend is all about, okay?
A lot of people will be enjoying this three day weekend at the beach. Today’s Small Talk Six is focused on the ocean and what six things you love…or hate, about it. I’ve never been a big fan of the ocean. Odd since I live in a “beach city.” This drives my husband crazy because he would live right on the shore if he had the opportunity. 6 things you love or hate about the ocean
1. I hate the way the ocean smells. Really, it stinks.
2. I hate waves, they scare the crap out of me! When I was a kid, I was swimming in the ocean and I went out too far. I got crushed by a series of big waves and I thought I was going to die. I was so afraid. Ever since, I won’t go out into the waves.
3. The ocean has scary shit like this in it! Tell me you don’t hate that?
4. The ocean is polluted (it’s why it stinks). Cities poor their garbage into it and stink it up for the rest of us. San Diego has some particularly nasty spots and I get the heebie jeebies just putting my feet in it.
5. I love the happiness it brings my kids. They happen to love the beach (they don’t know any better. LOL). They get very excited and they never want to leave. They share my husbands love of the ocean. I promise not to squash their fantasies.
6. I love sunsets over the ocean. They are beautiful. My husband has taken some great shots but I couldn’t find any on the computer. So I found this one. 
They really are one of life’s miracles.

It’s funny! The stinky smell, the scary nature of the waves, and the scary shit that lives in the ocean all came to mind as I wrote my list, too! Hahaha! I could write a completely different post just listing the things I hate about the ocean. It’s definitely a love/hate relationship for me

don’t think about it just enjoy it… if you think about those gross things then it sucks. I can’t eat at all you can eat places, because of the nastiness that comes with it. Your beach is my buffet
Now I can never go back into the ocean. Thank a bunch and what the h*** is that thing. lol.
That picture of the fish thing is scary but there is some truly beautiful creatures that live there too.
I think it’s admirable that you support your kids’ love for the beach, even if you can’t stand it. I’m trying my best to do the same!
