Small Talk Six ~ I So Proud!

Small Talk Six is MomDot.com’s weekly Saturday meme.  They have a list of topics and we come to our blog and post our list.  Speaking of MomDot…have you seen their new main site?  I think it’s going to be pretty cool.  One more reason to hang there all day long!   Anyhow, this weeks list is:

6 things you’ve made during your lifetime that you were proud of (can be a craft, a dish, . . . anything)

1.  First and foremost, I made another families lifetime dreams come true!  How many people can say that?  In 2007 I delivered surrogate triplets, making my friend a mother.

(gosh, this isn’t as easy as I thought it would be!  I’m trying really hard to think of things I’m proud of without sounding totally lame.  LOL)

3.  I designed my blog all by myself.  I have found that I really enjoy the whole “graphic design” thing and I am thinking of taking some classes.  Right now I just muddle through, follow tutorials, trial and error.  But I have created a couple of pretty decent websites (if I don’t say so myself).  I also designed Mama’s Miracles and Bob the Wizard.  Currently I’m working on our Web Host Technologies site (it’s not done).  BTW, if you are looking for hosting, I can help *wink*  LOL I’ve also had fun designing some header graphics for people and even birthday invitations.  It’s a nice creative outlet for me.

4.  I created my husbands blog header completely from scratch.  I know it’s lame, but I was really proud of how it turned out.  This post shows the before and afters and how I did it.

5.  I created my children!  Does that count?  I’m really proud of that!

6.  Because Karen mentioned it on momdot’s post and it reminded me….I am proud of the nursery I created for Mr. A. when I was preggo with him.  I don’t know where any pictures are (probably on DH’s computer), but I did the room in primary colors and spaceships.  I got some stencils from Michaels and stenciled moons, stars and rocket ships all around the room.  I then painted some rhyme on it.  Now I can’t even remember what it said (bad mommy).  But it looked really cute.  If I find a picture, I’ll come add it in.  But that took me a couple weeks (I was hugely pregnant) and it was the first room decorating I had ever really done.  It was cute!

Alright, I guess that’s it.  If you want to join in on our Saturday Game, go visit momdot.com for the list of topics.  Check HERE for this weeks Mr. Linky to get in on the fun yourself.  Have a great weekend!
