This Fourth of July weekend was full of fun. We had a big party at my house and all of my family came over to play on our water slide bounce house. Among my family and friends were some new faces. Those of my new Intended Parent’s (IP’s).
Shannon and Mike, along with their beautiful daughter, made the trek down to meet us. They traveled seven hours for our much anticipated meeting. I was so excited when they arrived! It was just like greeting old friends. Their daughter came carrying gifts for my boys, there was lots of hugs, it was wonderful.
They are a beautiful family. I was so worried about disappointing them. Hoping that they didn’t bank their future on me and then think my family was a bunch of crack pots (which can sometimes be debatable). But the day went off with out a hitch. I have a wonderful family and they welcomed my new friends with open arms. It felt really good today when I received an email from my IM telling me how comfortable they felt with me and my family.
Their little girl and my NayNay made friends. They played inside with the Leapsters and blocks. We watched as they walked down the driveway hand in hand.
We had already made the decision to move forward together several weeks ago. But the deal was sealed while watching fireworks, and I heard a sweet little voice ask: “Are you the one who’s going to give my mommy a baby?” I told her “yes” and she said, “that’s good. My mommy really wants a little baby.”
So I will start my cycle medications on Tuesday. I should be pregnant sometime in the next month. I pray that I can give that little girls mommy a new baby.

That’s a great to spend the 4th. We went fishing. It was the kids first time and they both caught a little fish.
