Unless you live under a blogging rock, you know that The mom blog conference is coming up. BlogHer ‘09 will be the end of this month and everyone who is anyone is getting ready to attend.
Well…not everyone.
I am not going. And by golly, I AM someone!
I’m really a little bit jealous of the ladies going. They are going to have so.much.fun! Classes and parties and free swag. Oh, not to mention the fact that they get to hang with adults for a weekend. I can’t even imagine sleeping in a bed, alone. Waking up when ever the hell I feel like it. Quiet in the morning instead of fighting over toys and demanding chocolate milk. Pure heaven.
But I’m not going. I won’t learn a ton of amazing things that will make my blog better. I won’t get to meet the amazing friends that I’ve made online. I won’t get a weekend acting and interacting with adults.
Now as much as I am a little sad about not going, I’m really tired of hearing about the ones who are.
I am tired of seeing the super cute, grown up clothes that attendees are being given to wear (sometimes for free). I haven’t had a new cute outfit in oh…hhmmm….nope, don’t remember. I haven’t had a reason to dress up in forever. I am tired of hearing about the great parties that they are attending, and what they are wearing, and what they are giving away for their sponsors. Yeah, I’m tired of it.
Really, if you are one that is going, I hope you have SO much fun!! Really, I do. I am just a little jealous. So I will stick here in my little corner of the blogosphere and sulk.
Maybe next year. Maybe?

I’m a little jealous too:0( At first I did not care at all, but all the talk of new clothes and parties has me a little bummed!
I am with ya, but hey I think hearing about what they will be wearing and doing is easier than what is to come during and after it’s over all the posts and pics of wonderul things they did and recieved, that we missed out on. But yea maybe next year, maybe
I feel the same way !! I do hope that everyone has a wonderful time and I would have loved to go. I am sad that there are some giveaways only for the registered and I feel that is a tease!
Make the giveaways for all because there will be plenty of giveaways there. OK I vented! Thanks for the post

Won’t be attending either
I couldn’t go this year either and am a little bummed about that. I hope to go next year.
