Review/Giveaway ~ Dedicated Woman’s Whey Protein Powder (CLOSED)
When I first started thinking about getting weight loss surgery, I started researching protein powder supplements. You don’t need to be the FTC or the FDA to know that a diet high in protein and low in carbs will make you lose weight. The people at Atkins know it, the weight loss surgery experts know it, the people at Dedicated Woman know it, and I know it.
I had tried several brands of protein. Some were delicious, and some were absolutely not. I’m sure you’ve heard about, or even tried bad protein. It’s like trying to drink nasty flavored chalk. Yuck! So I was perfectly happy to try the Woman’s Whey that Dedicated Woman sent me.

The nice owner of Dedicated Woman (Kelly DiLauro) sent me some Strawberry Bliss Woman’s Whey to try.
Now, strawberry would never be my first flavor choice. I like it ok, but am a chocoholic through and through. But because chocolate was on back order, they substituted strawberry. I have to say, when I opened the container, the strong strawberry aroma was very mouth watering! It smelled so good. So I shot Kelly an email and told her I would stick with strawberry.
The Strawberry Woman’s Whey does not taste as strongly as it smells. It has a very mild strawberry flavor with pieces of real strawberry. I personally like a more robust flavor, but it was still very good. No nasty “protein” aftertaste at all. Because I like the thick “milkshake” consistency in my protein shakes, I added a handful of frozen whole strawberries (from Costco) to my blender. It pumped up the strawberry flavor and thickened it nicely without using ice (which melts and waters down your shake).
I ended up using this recipe most often and it is quite delicious!
- 6 oz water
- 1 scoop Strawberry Woman’s Whey Protein Powder
- 6-8 whole frozen strawberries
- 2 Tbsp fat-free instant chocolate pudding
Blend until smooth.
This recipe made a delicious chocolate-strawberry concoction that was more like desert than a healthy meal replacement.
If you have been following my Fat Flinging Friday’s, you will know that I haven’t lost any weight recently. But I don’t think it has anything to do with the quality of this shake and has everything to do with the fact that I like cheesecake and beer (not together…gross!).
I do love that every ingredient inside this Woman’s Whey Protein Powder is all-natural, hormone-free, and chemical-free. It’s sweetened with Lo Han Kuo, a 100% natural, low-glycemic sweetener and it’s also wheat and gluten free. It contains 27 grams of protein from Whey Isolate and only has 2 grams of carbohydrates. Also, because it’s formulated especially for women, it contains 400 mg of calcium and 200 mg of phosphorus for strong teeth and bones. First, I want the chocolate flavored protein powder!!! I’ve used protein diets in the past and have always had success, it’s about time I tried to get these twin pounds off! Also, finding a good whey protein with so little suger is a rare thing, I’m eager to try this brand out! ( was always a Designer Protein fan in the past)

I’m 47 years old and I’ve lucked out so far, I’m not going through menopause yet, but my time’s a coming. Gosh I like this prize : I could use it. The DESIRE energy enhancer caught my eye- I need to lose a few pounds
I can’t decide between the Thyro Melt for weight loss and the Xen Extreme Pure Energy but I would probably pick the energy drink if I could only choose one. I am only 42 years old but feel sluggish and tired most days for some reason. It isn’t a good feeling. I have to take caffeine pills a lot just to get through a work day and the energy drink would be healthier and a lot safer

Because I still believe in magic I would pick Thyro Melt for weight loss.
Not for an entry I just wanted you to know that I thought I’d checked out most of the protein products as I had WLS in April but I hadn’t heard of this one.
A lot of their products look good, but I would love to try their Beautiful Skin.
