Fat Flinging Friday ~ Week 8

fatflingingfridayWow,  I can’t believe it’s Friday!  I’m just sitting here watching the Today Show and they said something about the weekend.  I thought, “oh crap!  It’s Friday!”  Where does the week go?

So I hopped up and went into the bathroom to weigh in.

*sigh*

No change.

WTH?  Well, granted, I didn’t exercise this week, I didn’t eat “diet” food.  But I thought I was doing well with no junk food and not over eating.  Maybe the half a package of Oreo’s I ate yesterday didn’t help?

I started this weekly accountability meme to help keep me on track and get me motivated to do better.  It’s obviously not working.  Here I am at week 8 and I’m still as fat as I was on week 1.

So I ran out of beer last night.  I am not going to buy any more.  No matter how “light” Coor’s claims to be, I think it’s sabotaging me.  Besides, with the surrogacy coming up, I told myself when my last box was gone I wouldn’t buy any more to prepare for that.  So I’ll see if that makes a difference this week.  I am hoping that it does.  But then that will kinda make me mad.  I love beer.  Do I love it more than being fat?  Hmmmm….that’s a hard decision!  LOL

My plan for this week:

  • No beer
  • Walk at least 3 times
  • Go in the pool with the boys and do some water aerobics
  • Drink more protein meal replacements

    I”d be willing to bet the beer is contributing to your sabotage. I got the EA Active, and it kicked my ass – literally. With my fibromyalgia, I need to work into it. I’ve been walking my son to and from his swim lessons every day except the last 3 because of the air quality. I also gave up soda. After 3 weeks I’m not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but my shorts are looser. I suppose I should weigh in on the Wii Fit and find out where I’m really at.

      I have a feeling you are right about the beer. So I’m interested to see how this next week goes. Maybe I’ll bust out my EA Sports Active a time or two, too. It kicked my ass, too.

    Good luck this week and hopefully you’ll see a change. I’m stepping down from weight-loss of any kind because I’m sucking so hard at it. I’m up to 193 lbs this week and that just depresses me.

    Another week of very little progress for me too (you can read my update). But, it’s still progress, right?

    I think you’ll see big results (and save a bit of cash!) if you lay off the alcohol. One or two here or there is fine (this coming from the queen of beeritas) but make sure you drink lots of water!

    You didn’t gain, and that’s great news! Remember that!
