I want this!

Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3-Inch LCD and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

Even though I have no idea what that all means…I want it.  I don’t have the first clue about DSLR camera’s except that I want one.  No, I need one.  I take so many pictures of my kids.  I have gone through three (four?) different point and shoot digital cameras since my kids came along.  And I don’t move onto a new camera because I’m bored.  It’s because I use the heck out of them until the don’t work anymore!

I’ve had two Kodak Easy Shares (hated them) and two Sony Cybershots (loved them).  And now I want a “grown up” Canon Rebel.

Won’t you please buy me one?

No?

Well, I thought it was worth a shot.

So, I think this is the camera I want.  But like I said, I really have no idea.  So if you have a Digital SLR camera, won’t you please clue me in?  What do I need to know?  I know you can use different lenses…which ones do I need?

Remember, I am a beginner and I will mostly be using it to shoot family life, kids, holidays etc.

Maybe I’ll sign up for a photography class, that might be fun.

Thanks for spreading the word!

A photography class WOULD be fun, Rhea! Now you’ve got me thinking about finding one to attend myself…
I have a Canon Powershot somethingorother that my husband bought me last year and I love it! Sorry, I don’t have any technical advice to give you–I love the camera because I turn it to “Auto”, raise the flash, adjust the zoom every once in a while, and the camera does the rest of the work for me. Seriously. I had a few digital cameras before it, and was never pleased with the shutter speed–the pictures were always blurry because my toddler moved amazingly FAST when I was trying to photograph her–don’t have that problem with the Canon. Good luck in your camera search!

I know, wouldn’t it be fun? My DH took some classes a long long time ago and he takes much better pics than I do because of what he learned.

It’s good to know you love your Canon. I have heard really good things about them.

I would love to have that camera too! It would be so great now that the kids are into all these sports and extra activities!
