Free Holiday Social Icon Set

by mommy23monkeys on November 9, 2009

My friend Shan was asking today about where to find some snow globe holiday icons to use on her blog.  A bunch of us went searching for her, and while we found lots of cute Christmas type icons, there was nothing that was “perfect.”

I decided that I would try my hand at making her something that she would love.

I succeeded!

YAY me!

I created a set of 9 social media icons for the holidays.  I was so happy with the way they came out, that I decided I would offer them to everyone.  Please keep in mind that I am not a professional graphics designer.  These were made by me in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8
and they may not be perfectly flawless.  Okay?

All icons are in individual png files.  I hope you like them!

You know, Rhea, they look pretty damn professional to me. You should submit hem to mashable or smashing magazine or any of the icon listing sites. THESE ICONS ROCK!!

Seriously better than anything any of us found today.

Thank you again for doing this. I just love them so much. :)

I did them in photoshop elements. There was some pre-set effects to make it look like glass. Then I had some snowflake/glitter brushes from Obsidian Dawn. I don’t remember where I picked up the little hat. It was a download somewhere.

You made me smile, Andrea. Your sidebars have my Blogher banner, my PROK button and now my snow globes…all that I have made. Maybe I should offer more freebies, huh? lol!

What refreshing icons for the festive season. I wish there was a Linked (www.linkedin.com) one so I could use them uniformly on my website. Have a super festive season!
