I read all the Twilight books back in April and like millions of others, completely fell in love with Edward. Then I saw the movie. *UGH* Hated it! I just think that the casting was bad and the movie Edward did not measure up to Stephanie Meyers description in the books. I was so disappointed.
I swore off any more Twilight movies. The books were top notch, why ruin it with a bad movie.
But now I am rethinking.
With the release tomorrow of New Moon, I find myself wanting to go to the theater. But it’s not because I think this movie will be better or because I want to ogle over Edward. Nope. Now, I find myself with a new Twilight crush….Jacob!
OMGosh! *swoon*
Now, before you start yelling at me, I do know how old this boy is and I do know how old I am. But, I am not dead. And this boy is hawt!
Really?? People that think Edward is the cream cheese….you can’t even a little see that Jacob is so much hotter? Edward’s really kinda geeky if you ask me. And in the movie, Jacob with his long Native hair running around shirtless. Um, yeah. I don’t know if I will be able to miss that.
And why do I feel so dirty for having this crush on Jacob? When did I get old? *cry*
Oh, and for what it’s worth…book Edward is still my hero.

I agree 100%!! I loved the books, hated the first movie but now i think I’m still going to have to see the 2nd. It had better funding so I’m hoping it will be much better than the first. I will not, however, be on of the people going to the midnight showing! i don’t want to see it that badly!
LOL I thought the first book was only so-so, but they got better later on. Hated the first movie. I’m hoping like the books, this one will be better. The previews certainly look better! I’m chancing it and going Sunday with friends to see it!
oh! You will have to come back and tell me what you think!!! I need to know if it’s worth it or now. Have fun!
I completely agree with you on the casting of Edward, totally not what I pictured from the books. The Twilight movie was okay but again not like the book. I think I will wait to see New Moon when it comes out to rent. The theater is just too expensive! If you go you’ll have to let us know how it was. =)
ba hahaha! I agree. I also feel so dirty having a crush on a teen star… disturbing.
I am also majorly unimpressed with the casting for the movies as well… too bad our imagination isn’t enough. Gotta go see the dumb, usually disappointing movies… but I am going to go see them. Can’t help it.
I’m coming back to report
I hated the first one. This one was better, but not by much. I saw an early show (only $4.50) with friends, so it was worth it as a girls night out, but it’s really a “wait until you can rent it” movie. The acting was slightly better and they stuck to the book more, but some of it was just so over the top cheesy it was ridiculous. I must admit I didn’t like the books much until Eclipse and I the only one I thought was really good was Breaking Dawn, so maybe I’ll think the later movies are better too!
Thanks for the report! I’m glad it was better, but also glad you only paid $4.50 for it. My BFF went and saw it this weekend, too and I wanted to see how she liked it. She was like me in loving the books/hating the movie.
I loved the books and both movies–I have always been a Jacob fan
After seeing the second movie my husband said, “I can’t understand why women think Edward is so hot. But Jacob is hot. I’m a guy, and I have to admit: Jacob is what a man should look like.” finally, we agree on something!
