Actually, while we have a lot of quads, and the boy who got hurt was on a quad (and wearing a helmet!), the little boys were riding on Rhino's. They are more along the lines of a small dune buggy and have roll cages, all around. So there is no helmet law for them and they are quite safe (it's why my dad likes them). PLUS, the little boys only tootled around the camp, not very far. Never out to the dunes. I've seen little people out on quads and it scares me, too. I don't think I'll let them on those until they are much older. :) Hi Julie! I've never ridden on a quad but they look kind of dangerous. Are you supposed to wear a helmet? After reading what happened to your friend's son, and then seeing your sons on the quad, it made me shiver thinking "what if they rolled over? they don't have a helmet on?!" Just curious.
