I had a GREAT day yesterday! I took a bunch of pictures of our relatively small Thanksgiving Dinner. I will have them up probably later today because I was just to pooped to deal with it last night. My eyes were half closed and I don’t think I made it too far past 9pm. The babies were both passed out on the couch by 6:30! That’s something I should have gotten a picture of…
Anyhow, just wanted to say “hello” to my peeps before heading out. If you believe in prayer, I could use some! LOL! I’m not so crazy to be in line at midnight or anything, so hopefully I will miss the really crazy people. I’m also not really on the hunt for anything specific. Just hoping to get the stocking stuffers done and grab a few good deals on Nintendo DS games.
The first place on my list is Sam’s Club. I can’t wait to see what’s on sale (besides what’s online). They are also serving breakfast. Woot! They are having GREAT deals on Playstation 3’s and Wii’s if that’s what you are into. Lots of jewelry, too that makes great holiday gifts.

I’ll admit I was really disappointed in Sam’s “breakfast”. Yogurt and bottled water (and coffee?). Not really breakfast, and the food cafe wasn’t open yet.
Hope you found some good things! This was my first black Friday to REALLY get out—waiting outside for the 4am opening and all! My big deal was getting a king sized down comforter for $30 (normally $160)…need it for our move to Montana!
aaron and i were going to hit the stores this morning, but we poked around online last night and discovered everything we were looking for at black friday prices (HI is actually six hours behind EST), so we slept in a bit and i made breakfast instead. and other than a couple of tidbits here and there, i’m done!
I’ve never been shopping on Black Friday because I just hate to be around that many people who are racing around trying to get something before it sells out. Plus, I’ve found the longer you wait, the better the prices get closer to Christmas. But I did do something this Thanksgiving I’ve never done before. I went to Kmart and did some Christmas shopping!! They were open for the first time ever on Turkey day and I took advantage of the fact that most people would be eating with their families or passed out from too much food and drink. So I went about 7 pm (they closed at 9 pm) and got the majority of gifts for my 4 year old picked out and put on layaway. I love layaway too because I don’t have to spend a bunch of money at once and can pay it off in a few weeks or longer. That way too I don’t have to hide the gifts at home – they can stay at the store until Dec 23 or 24th!! Plus Kmart was having GREAT half off sales that were only good for Thanksgiving day. So that was my “Black Thursday” shopping experience!
