Black Friday at the Sam’s Holiday Blitz

blitz4Yesterday me and my mom braved the Black Friday rush.  We didn’t leave until 8:30, late compared to the crazies out at midnight.  But since we were in no hurry for the crazy doorbuster sales, we just took our time.

We only had a few stores to visit.  Toy’s R Us was first because I was hoping to score some half price Nintendo DS games.  Me and my mom stood in line for one hour to get 2 half price games and several items at full price.  That was kinda lame.

Next we headed for my local Sam’s Club.  They were having their Holiday Blitz Sale and I was excited to check it out.  Since it was already 1pm, we didn’t get to enjoy the complimentary breakfast.  But that was ok.  I was also really happy to see the store was not crazy busy like the ones we had already spent our morning in.  In fact, it was pretty quiet, even more so than normal.

blitz5We arrived to a wall full of holiday items.  It smelled really good.  Beautiful poinsettias and pine.  Immediately got me into the Christmas Spirit (as if I needed any help).  I wasn’t looking for anything specific so we just started shopping.  My mom is not a member so this was her first time in this store.

blitz3We came across this GORGEOUS throw that was softer than anything I had ever touched before.  We both instantly fell in love and if I thought I could have gotten away with it, I would have climbed into the box and taken a nap!  This item was not on a “special buy” price, but was super cheap ($13 bucks!).  My mom bought 2 of them (one for her and one for me) and then I bought one as a gift.

blitz2I was in love petting my blanket…

I thought my throw would make a super gift paired with a great movie and a bottle of wine.  So I began searching movies.  Sam’s Club had a ton of movie titles for really great prices.  I got one of my favorite movies, The Bucket List, for less than $10.00.  I was really happy with this!

We did some more shopping.  There was a table set up with great deal son GPS items and cameras.  Then I found the Wii display with LOTS of units still available at a great sale price.

blitz1So we had a really great time holiday shopping at Sam’s Club.  I got a great gift for someone as well as some super cute shirt/vest combo’s for the boys (less than $8.00!).  I also picked up the movie Santa Buddies for less than I found anywhere else.  It was a nice and relaxing shopping day at Sam’s!

We hit Sam’s too and they weren’t busy either! It was funny because they still had a ton of great deals. I think people just don’t know about Sam’s when it comes to Christmas shopping because they were fighting each other at Target for items still available at Sam’s!
