Today is day four of Potty Training Hell.
In FOUR days, my (soon to be) four year old has peed in the toilet TWO times. That’s it. Twice.
Every other freaking potty has been in his underwear.
Do you know how much underwear and shorts we’ve gone through?
A Lot.
Two year old’s at least make an effort. This child has made none.
Zero.
*ugh*

What a cutie & good luck! Not looking forward to help train my grandson after I had girls!
Oh, I feel for you! My oldest son trained right before he turned 3 (it was a combined bribe through the family and day care center- if he wanted to move to the 3 year old room with his friends, he had to stop wearing diapers- it worked!). My twins- my girl, she decided one day it looked fun (she was a few months over three I think), and she was trained within the next couple of days. My boy twin, it was three weeks shy of being 4, I honestly don’t know what finally worked for him, combination of bribery (m&m’s, toys, etc), and knowing that he was going to go to school if he stopped wearing diapers. Now, if only I could get them out of diapers at night I would save so much money!
Oh, when my boy was training, every time he had an accident, he had to clean it up by himself (wash himself off, rinse out the dirty clothes, mop up the floor, put on dry clothes, etc). I didn’t help until it was all cleaned up. That seemed to be a good motivation after the first fin time cleaning.
I’ve been trying to let him clean up after himself but it drives me crazy to watch the mess he makes!
I feel your pain! As I mentioned in a comment a few days ago, my 4 year old daughter is doing almost the same thing except she will go pee, just not poo, in the toilet, and will put on a pull-up when she has to go poo! But now her newest thing is when she does go pee on the potty, she will forget to pull her underwear down and goes thru her underwear! UGH! I have done SO MUCH freakin laundry these past few weeks that I don’t even want to look at the washing machine anymore! I’m thinking of just going out and buying 50 pairs of panties so I won’t have to do laundry every time she makes a mistake! But I am with you on the making them clean themselves up part – NO THANK YOU! I am way too OCD to watch them clean only part of the poo off their little butts and then to have them clean their underwear off themselves -NO WAY! I hope it gets better for you soon. Try to have a nice weekend!
Breathe, Rhea….breathe…it’s a phase and it will pass. He won’t be pooping his pants on his wedding day, I promise
hhhmmm….I’m not so sure about that. LOL!
P.S.
If it makes you feel any better, my daughter, who has been potty trained for well over a year now, peed in the floor today because we had company and she couldn’t be bothered to stop playing long enough to go to the potty…sigh….
