Anthony’s hair had been getting quite long and shaggy. I kinda liked it, it was a nice change from his standard crew cut that we’ve kept him in most of his life. But his bangs were getting in his eyes and even he was complaining about it hurting when he was running.
So we had a discussion.
“Do you want mommy to shave your head or do you want to keep it long?”
“I want it long.”
“No, I want it short.”
“No, I want it long.”
MAKE UP YOUR MIND LITTLE BOY!
Finally, he decided he wanted to keep it long.
Ok. Great. Mommy took him to our local Super Cuts to just get it trimmed and his bangs taken up out of his eyes. Considering he hadn’t had a real salon cut in several years, he did great. Overall, I was happy with my $15.00 investment.
Fast forward one week.
I can only guess that Anthony didn’t think his bangs were short enough and they were still getting in his eyes.
He decided to take care of it himself.
If I had known he could just do it himself I would have saved myself fifteen freaking dollars.
I thought this was something mommies of little girls had to deal with. I never thought It would occur with my boys. Maybe he’ll be the next Jose’ Eber?

Oh my….
Katie (aka Kekibird)´s last blog ..Stay-cation Week: Day 5
The bangs are much shorter now…but he still is a cutie!
Too cute…my oldest son did that also, and he should have known better, he is 7! Although he won’t admit to doing it, he claims to have no idea why he has these short little bangs when the rest of his hair is 3+ inches long (he has blond curls that he usually wants to keep long!) Arghhh…Boys!
LOL! “hhmm…I have NO idea how that happened….”
hahah
lol!!! So, that crew cut is sound better and better to you I bet!
He still has that cute, mischievous smile that’s going to break hearts though
He’s already got lots of girlfriends wrapped around his little finger! I’m gonna be in trouble.
Actually it really doesn’t look that bad at all! He did a pretty good job – maybe he will grow up to be a famous hair stylist!! My daughter’s half sister, who had long, gorgeous, curly hair did the same thing. Only she got cotton candy stuck in hers so she took it upon herself to cut it out of her hair, thus leaving a HUGE space on the side of her head where about 10 inches or so were cut out!! So her mom just got the scissors out and just started cutting the rest off. Didn’t take her to a stylist, just started cutting. You can imagine what it looks like now – uneven, long and short pieces mixed together. I guess her mom was mad at her for doing this so she thought she was punishing her by chopping off the rest of her hair. But I think it just makes the mom look bad because now her daughter looks like a homeless kid! Everyone keeps saying, “Oh it will grow back long and curly again”. But guess what? It happened last Sept. and she still looks like a little boy!
LOL! Your poor friends, daughter. I think this could have been much worse. And I don’t even think it would have made me upset if I hadn’t JUST spent money on a damn haircut! Turkey
Oh myyy goodness!! Ha ha!!
The pic of them in that chair made my jaw drop. When did he start looking that GROWN UP!!!!
I’m laughing because you referred to “him” as “them.” HAHA. Twin momma.
love ya!
