Advertising and PR
Hello! Thanks for your interest in mommy23monkey’s advertising and PR.
I am a PR friendly site! I love to do giveaways and reviews. It’s fun for me and it’s (mostly) fun for my family. I generally will only accept product reviews from companies that I am already interested in. If your campaign is not appropriate for my family or visitors, I won’t do it. Why would I? In turn, I only contact companies that WOW me. You’re not likely to find a “bad” review here since I only accept items that I expect to like (Duh!). However, if I feel something needs to be improved, I’ll be sure to tell you.
I do not accept cash payment for product reviews. I do expect to be provided (at no charge) a full size, usable sample so that I can properly review it, photograph it and/or video it. These product samples will not be returned. Really, what would you do with a used sample? It’s mine to keep.
Giveaways are fun! They are fun for my readers and they are beneficial for the company because it drives traffic to your site. Not to mention the SEO benefits by all the links I put in my post about you. I will run a giveaway with no product review, but it will cost you. Giveaways are a lot of work for me. I have to write the post(takes me about an hour in between refereeing my boys, going to the bathroom, getting a drink, etc), list the giveaways at various contest sites, tweet the heck out of it, link to it on other blog contest linky’s, etc etc. So unless you provide me a product to review along with the giveaway, there is a fee. It’s not a big fee, really. I’m cheap. Just don’t tell anyone.
In case that wasn’t clear:
- Product reviews = Free
- Product reviews + Giveaways = Free
- Giveaway only = $$ for my time
In addition to all this fun stuff, you can buy ad spots on my site. It’s actually the best option. Everyone sees my sidebars, no matter what page or post they are on (well, with the exception of this page). Your product review/giveaway post is only front and center for about 7 days while it is on my front page. Then it goes to the archives. Ad rates are listed in my media kit for your easy reference. Ad rates are subject to change so be sure you have the current media kit.
I don’t really like “press releases.” I think they are boring to read. But I do have options for posting them… if you pay me.
Okay, I guess that about covers all my general thoughts on reviews, giveaways and advertising. You can click on my media kit (at the end of this post) to see my actual fees along with my blog demographics and statistics. I’m really very nice and easy to work with, so I look forward to hearing from you!
