Who Wouldn’t Want to Visit Kissimmee?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine. I have never been to Florida, but if I were to get the chance to go, I would visit Kissimmee just because it’s fun to say!  So I thought it would be fun to plan a fantasy vacation to Kissimmee, Florida. If I were to go to Kissimmee, I would certainly stay in a Global Resort Vacation Home.  With a big family like mine, it is a better idea to stay...

Walking and Fundraising and Walking, oh My!

Quick Recap in case you missed it:  I have a mysterious pain in my right foot.  It’s the top of my foot, in line with my big toe.  All indicators suggest a stress fracture, but my doctor took X-rays and told me it’s “fine.”  So I spent about 10 days off of it “resting” and I now have a handy prescription for Motrin. Fast forward to this week.  Motrin doesn’t do squat for the pain in my foot and it’s not going away. This is where I really want...

Wordless Wednesday – Avast Ye!

I took the boys to the Festival of Sail at the San Diego Bay this past weekend.  I’ll actually have lots of pictures of the day later this week.  It was SO great!  But, today I am sharing these of Sam the Pirate. Sam the Pirate was awesome!  He looked and sounded just like the original Captain Jack Sparrow.  He was great with the boys, but Gabriel was the only one brave enough to pose for a picture. “Avast ye!” means: stop and check this out or pay attention...

I Hate Graveyard Shift

Generally, when someone works for a company for a long time, they get the better hours.  Better shifts.  Am I wrong?  Every place I’ve ever worked (even my husband’s company but in a different department), you start out working graveyard’s (or third shift, or overnights).  Then after a few years, people leave, you pay your dues, you get rewarded with better shifts. Am I right?  Why else would people stick around at a 24 hour job if it wasn’t for the hope of working “days” eventually? I mean, I’m...

Check Out These GREAT Coleman Promotions!

You know my family is huge on camping.  We go to the desert a lot and recently we spent a week roughing it at the Grand Canyon.  So I was super stoked when Coleman contacted me about reviewing some of their new camping gear. More to come on that later… But for right now I wanted to share a really cool promotion Coleman is having on Facebook. Remember living in your imagination? Feel like a kid again—with your kids—and escape to backyard adventure with great camping gear from Coleman:...

Review: Moon Dough is Out of This World!

Quite honestly, had I been paying attention to my emails, I would have told Team Mom “NO WAY!  Please don’t send me any Moon Dough!”  The boys had received Moon Sand as a gift before and it was a nightmare.  I figured the Dough version was probably going to be the same. I was wrong. Moon Dough is COOL! Moon Dough – the amazing new dough that is out of this world!  Soft, light, wheat-free and non-drying, Moon Dough comes in 8 great colors for you to play with...

Homeschool: Balancing More Than One Child

Well, it’s Day 3 for these newbie homeschoolers.  I’m wondering what I got myself into. Actually, school with Anthony has been fine.  He’s so enthusiastic and we’ve only encountered one major melt down.  I’ve only heard him wish for “real school” a few times.  My stresses lie with setting up lessons and keeping the twins entertained while I work with Anthony. Doing lessons with Anthony is very hands on.  He’s only in 1st grade, after all.  I need to be with him to keep him on task and help...
