Okay, I don’t generally “do” spiders. They are creepy and disgusting. But Anthony came running in the house yesterday for me to come see this “cool bug” that “isn’t a spider.” I went out and took a look and then informed him that it quite certainly was a spider. I lost 5 pounds! woot! When I delivered my surrogate baby, I dropped a bunch in that first week and then it’s held steady ever since. He was born about 13 weeks ago. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to think you are doing pretty good with your diet and exercise and not see any results on your scale. I’m so happy that it’s finally starting to go down. Exercise: I only got one 5 mile walk in this week. Now my foot is giving me grief...

If it’s quite around here this week it’s because I’m with my family at the most beautiful place ever…the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. GORGEOUS! Really. Come here. Amazing.
