American Comfortwear by Ramblers Way

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine. Yes, this is a sponsored post for Ramblers Way wool. But in researching the company’s website to learn more about them, I’ve decided they are really pretty cool and I’m glad that I have been introduced to them. Ramblers Way Farm is a family business creating soft, comfortable next-to-skin worsted wool apparel entirely on American soil. We grow Rambouillet wool on our own sheep farms in Maine and on ranches in...

Let’s Vote on Rhea’s New Tattoo

I’ve been wanting another tattoo for quite a while.  I started out by wanting to have Anthony’s (and eventually the other boys’) names tattooed somewhere in their own print.  Like Tommy Lee did with his kids’ names.  He had each of his boys’ write their own name on his arm and then went and had the signatures permanently inked in. Isn’t that cool? And who knows…maybe I’ll still do this eventually.  But for now, I’ve moved on to another thought. Between my own boys and my surrogate babies, I’ve...

What a FUN Sweepstakes!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine. Hampton Hotels is having a Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes.  By entering you can win a hotel stay in any Hampton Hotel for you and all your friends…100 rooms!  In addition to 100 rooms for the entire weekend, Hampton is giving the winner $5000.00 to pay all the taxes! Cool! I think if I won this sweepstakes I would pick the downtown San Diego Hampton.  By keeping it local to me...

I’m Dreaming of Bret Michaels

Bret Michaels has been everywhere lately.  Celebrity Apprentice (So happy he beat Holly!), in the news with serious health problems, on Rock of Love (that I never had the pleasure of watching), a new reality show, Life as I Know It, and now he’s appearing in my dreams.

It Doesn’t Look That Hard

This is Bob’s fault.  He is the one that sent me the email that got the gears a rolling.  Now he regrets it and went to bed all mad at me.  LOL Check this out: COOL! Now, I was thinking…couldn’t you just get a regular bunk bed and then create the AT-AT facade to attach? You wouldn’t have to build the entire bed from scratch.  That should cut out at least 4 weeks of the 6 it took this guy to originally build it. Right?  Wouldn’t you just need...

Our Little Sparrow Family

A couple  months ago, Anthony and Bob built a birdhouse.  I don’t think I wrote a post about it, I meant to.  It was quite the ordeal.  Anthony wanted to build a “play house” out of old scraps and asked for help.  I volunteered his dad.  But Bob is entirely too practical without a lot of wild imagination and shot down his plans.  The flimsy “frame” wasn’t “practical.”  Well..duh.  It wasn’t supposed to be.  Anthony just wanted to build something with a hammer and I made the mistake of...

Shaving My Head for Penny!

I’ve always been a little bit of a nut and willing to do most anything…depending on the circumstances.  When everything started happening with Penelope, I naturally wanted to help raise money for them.  I came across a blog post of Kristen where she announced she was going to shave her head to raise money for pediatric cancer research…St. Baldricks. I was intrigued. My mother egged me on…”you should totally shave your head!” hahahahaha….not. BUT.  Then I started to really think about it.  It’s just hair.  It will grow back....
